Milk Bar™ Revolution Automatic Teat

Código del producto:900730

5 slits encourage the calf to suckle the teat in a natural way and prevents calves pumping the teat. With exceptional performance, the new Milk Bar™ Revolution Automatic Teat controls the flow for around 1200 - 1500 L.
“The new Milk Bar™ Revolution Automatic Teats are a great improvement. On the large teat, supplied with the machine, the calves were gulping too quickly. We want the proper saliva production for their immunity, and digestive enzymes. I’m very happy with the teat change, cross suckling has been reduced and the vets have commented on how shiny their coats are and how healthy they’re looking.” L. Coubrough, New Zealand

It is important for calves to suckle with a controlled flow from birth to weaning.

Calves find it challenging to switch from a fast flow 'pump' style teat to a 'suckling' style Milk Bar Teat, so, to make your calving flow more smoothly, we recommend you train calves with a teat from the Milk Bar range that best suits your system. When calves are ready to transition into the Automatic group, they will already be robust and suckling strongly and the transition will be easier.

How can I implement the Milk Bar™ Revolution Automatic Teat into my system?

For best results:

Day 1 - 3               Use a Milk Bar™ Training Teat in either a bottle or single feeder.

Day 4 - 14            Use the Milk Bar™ Teat in either a single or group feeder. Calves can be in singles, pairs or groups.

Day 15+                Transition the small group to the Automatic Feeder fitted with new Milk Bar™ Revolution Automatic Teats.

When to replace: Replace teats when milk flow has increased or at around 1200 - 1500 L.

Cleaning: Use a non-chlorinated detergent at least twice a week or according to your farm hygiene protocol. Note: Using products with Chlorine reduces teat life by 60%

Milk is a difficult substance to clean off of surfaces. You need hot water to remove the fat, but the heat can bake the protein onto the surface. Using warm water to get rid of the protein leaves a film of fat. When fats and proteins stick to the surface of equipment, they form a biofilm, a nutrient-rich layer in which bacteria grow.
The biofilm protects bacteria from the cleaning process and results in equipment that appears clean but has bacteria on the surface. The cleaning process not only needs to remove fat and protein from surfaces but prevent the formation of a biofilm.

All Milk Bar™ Teats are made from a natural rubber. Natural rubber absorbs the milk fat and protein which causes the teats to become softer. Using an NON CHLORINATED Detergent a few times a week with strip the milk fat and protein from the rubber so your calves can enjoy the controlled flow for longer.

  1. Rinse your teats with water.
  2. Use a non chlorinated detergent, following the manufacturers instructions.
  3. Using a brush, lightly scrub the outside of the teats making sure to bend the teats.
  4. By bending the teats, any milk gets pushed back inside the feeder so the detergent can make contact with the inside of the teat wall.
  5. Rinse clean.
