You’ve got to be able to completely drain your feeder, so the tilt angle is quite sharp with both the tank and the manifolds draining clean. We use pull through teats so there are no threads to clean and check. Large 50mm taps connect the tank to the manifolds. We don’t use pipes or tubes, who wants to clean milky pipes? Not us that’s for sure!
1. Wind the manual leveller down and open the drainage taps. Give the feeders a hose off to remove left over milk.
2. Give the feeder and teats a light scrub with alkali detergent. This strips the milk fat and protein from your feeder. Cleaning the teat is easy, just bend them over with the back of your brush.
3. Rinse off the excess detergent and leave the feeder to drain. It's really that easy!
