When you’re feeding large groups of calves, there’s no time to muck around, you need the best in the business.

We’ve been making mobile feeders since the 80’s so we know exactly the punishment these feeders need to handle! We also know that when your feeding large groups of calves, you need a simple, effective feeder that is quick to fill and easy to clean. It’s got to be good to tow and safe to handle.

Quick to fill

Large taps and 50L gradients make filling accurate and fast. The opaque tank lets you quickly check the volume.

imgTree

Large 50mm taps are fitted between the tank and manifolds for fast flow of milk. The opaque tank acts as a gigantic sight glass so you can check the levels from a distance. Drive into your calves, open the taps, check the level of milk against the large gradients and you’re done!

Easy to level

The manual leveller aligns both the tank and the manifolds for feeding on all terrain.

imgTree

We’ve made our tanks and manifolds as one unit and the Milk Bar™ Leveller adjusts both the tank and the manifolds together. The Milk Bar™ Classic models can tilt from front to back, to level in moderate terrain. The Milk Bar™ Deluxe models also feature sideways levelling for extreme terrain. Using the opaque tank as a sight glass, you can quickly level up the feeder, so all calves get their fair share.

Perfectly balanced

The round tank, low centre of gravity and wide wheelbase make for easy towing.

imgTree

Oval tanks make milk surge, round tanks make milk swirl. We’ve made the tank round to prevent milk surging. The milk will swirl but with no surge, the feeder is much safer to tow on corners. A low centre of gravity and wide wheelbase also help make the feeder stable and reduces wear on your tow vehicles.

Super hygienic

Milk Bar™ mobiles have no pipes or fiddly bits. Teats are pull through, so they won’t move and the whole unit completely drains.

imgTree

You’ve got to be able to completely drain your feeder, so the tilt angle is quite sharp with both the tank and the manifolds draining clean. We use pull through teats so there are no threads to clean and check. Large 50mm taps connect the tank to the manifolds. We don’t use pipes or tubes, who wants to clean milky pipes? Not us that’s for sure!

1. Wind the manual leveller down and open the drainage taps. Give the feeders a hose off to remove left over milk.

2. Give the feeder and teats a light scrub with alkali detergent. This strips the milk fat and protein from your feeder. Cleaning the teat is easy, just bend them over with the back of your brush.

3. Rinse off the excess detergent and leave the feeder to drain. It's really that easy!

Milk Bar™ Classic Mobile Range

The Milk Bar™ Classic Range is perfect for farms where calf paddocks are fairly close to the shed, so travel is reduced.
The feeders have a single axle, a 500L tank and are a lovely simple feeder to handle and use. With an optional extra tow ball, you can tow a couple at a time.
Trailers are made from heavy gauge, hot dipped galvanised steel and the tank and manifolds are a food grade, UV stabilised polyethylene.
Fitted with Milk Bar™ Teats to reduce cross suckling and improve average daily gains. These feeders are well balanced, nice to tow and easy to clean.

Milk Bar™ Deluxe Mobile Range

The Deluxe Range was designed to meet the needs of farms where there is more travel to the calves, for farms with larger groups of calves or a more undulating terrain. The Deluxe Mobiles have a set of large gauge springs, so the feeder stays level as it follows the tow vehicle. This minimises movement of the tow vehicle in uneven terrain and punctures are reduced as the wheels climb over the top of sharp objects. The walking beam has a self-lubricating and ultra-durable centre bush.
Deluxe feeders can tilt back to front, but also sideways to level your feeder in the most demanding terrain. These feeders are heavier than the Classic Range, so we’ve added a drawbar handle and jockey wheel.
Fitted with Milk Bar™ Teats to improve lactose absorption and reduce scours, this feeder will feed your calves for years and years.

Milk Bar™ Super Deluxe Range

With increased functionality, the Super Deluxe Range is the answer when you have a lot of calves to feed. These are big units so the no tuning limit to the steering axle gives essential manoeuvrability while the long drawbar keeps tractor wheels away from the manifolds when turning, and gives good access for calves.
Twin tanks hold 550L and have marked gradients. The tanks are connected to create an even flow to the manifolds.
A manual leveller levels the manifolds when feeding on uneven ground and lowers one end for the complete drainage and cleaning The super strong 75mm x 50mm box section steel chassis has tandem axles fitted with suspension.

Top Tip! Leave around 10 - 15% of the teats free on your mobile

By leaving some space, all calves can find a teat much faster to help prevent the ‘moving circle’! Leaving a few spaces also gives your calves room to grow, by the time you wean them, they’ll be pretty big.
